Lesson 1 – Architecture overview

Overview

The nRF54L Series is the latest generation of ultra-low-power wireless SoCs from Nordic Semiconductor, designed to deliver higher performance, improved power efficiency, and more integration compared to previous generations. With advancements made in terms of processing power, memory, and wireless capabilities, the nRF54L Series is tailored for applications that require both efficiency and flexibility.

In this lesson, we will start by introducing the nRF54L Series, its main features, and its high-level architecture. We will then evaluate its processing performance compared to the nRF52 Series and analyze power consumption profiles across various operating modes. We will explore the different SoCs and examine a minimal-footprint PCB to see how the nRF54L Series can be integrated into compact designs.
